Privacy & Data

A hobby project that only asks for what your league needs.

Dynasty Yearbook is an independently run fantasy football hobby project. Email gives league members a stable account and gives the Yearbook owner basic participation accountability. We do not sell your personal information, collect phone numbers, or ask for your Sleeper password.

No data salesWe do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Why email? It keeps your Yearbooks across devices and lets the owner see who responded to league requests.
No phone numbersEmail is enough for this friend-league accountability model. It is not proof that you own a Sleeper account.

01 · What we collect

A small amount of account and league data.

  • Account information. Your email address and an internal account identifier when you sign in. We do not ask for or collect phone numbers.
  • Sleeper identity. The public Sleeper username, user ID, display name, and roster you choose to connect.
  • Yearbook activity. Leagues you save, Yearbooks you own or help manage, settings, and league features you use.
  • Ballot responses. Your answers and selected roster. The Yearbook owner can see your email next to that roster for participation accountability; public results do not include emails or account IDs.
  • Things you share. A trade receipt you publish creates a public link containing the league, team, player, pick, and trade-story details shown in the receipt. Anyone with that link can view it.
  • Browser storage. Your device stores recent leagues, preferences, unfinished ballot drafts, and sign-in session information so the app can remember your progress.
  • Limited usage and technical data. Screens and features used, timestamps, general device or browser information, and a one-way visitor identifier used for analytics and abuse prevention. We do not store your raw IP address in product analytics. Like any hosted website, our providers may process network information such as an IP address and user agent in ordinary delivery and security logs.
  • Public Sleeper league data. League settings, rosters, matchups, transactions, drafts, players, and related history available through Sleeper.

You can browse most public Yearbook content without creating an account.

02 · How we use it

To run the app—and not much else.

We use this information to provide secure sign-in, sync saved leagues across devices, connect you to a Sleeper roster, manage Yearbook ownership, run sealed league activities, create share links, prevent abuse, answer support requests, and understand which parts of the product work well.

Why league members sign in by email: predictions and rules requests are meant for actual members of the league. Email limits each ballot to one response per signed-in account and roster, and lets the Yearbook owner see who responded and who still needs a reminder. It does not independently prove that an email owns a Sleeper account. This hobby project relies on the commissioner or Yearbook owner recognizing their league mates, with email-to-roster matching used for accountability rather than formal identity verification.

We use email because commissioners commonly already have a way to reach their league mates by email, and it avoids collecting phone numbers or another more intrusive identifier.

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and consent where required. We do not send marketing email unless you expressly opt in.

03 · Who helps us

Service providers, not data buyers.

We use a small number of outside services to operate Dynasty Yearbook:

  • Account and database services for secure sign-in and storage.
  • Website hosting services for serving the site and running server functions.
  • Transactional email services for delivering secure sign-in messages.
  • Sleeper as the source of public league and player data.
  • A web-font service to deliver the typefaces used by the site.

This notice describes providers by what they do instead of publishing a full technical inventory. You can email us for current provider details. We give providers information only as needed to supply their services. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a sale or transfer of the app. If ownership changes, this notice still applies until it is updated.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

04 · Your choices

You can ask what we have—or ask us to delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. You may also withdraw consent when a use depends on consent.

Email privacy@dynastyyearbook.com to make a request, remove an account, or take down a trade-receipt link. We may need to verify that the account or content is yours before acting. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or resolving disputes.

05 · Retention & security

Keep only what the product needs.

We keep account, Yearbook, ballot, share, and analytics information while it is needed to operate and improve the service, or until a valid deletion request, subject to the limited exceptions above. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can promise perfect security.

06 · Children

Dynasty Yearbook is not for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will investigate and delete it when appropriate.

07 · Location & changes

Operated from the United States.

Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other places where our providers operate. We may update this notice as the product changes. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate.
